Shawnee Smith is an American performer, musician and actress. Smith was born on July 3, 1970. She is 5'3". Smith is popularly known for her role as Amanda Young from the Saw films and as Linda from her role in the CBS comedy Becker. Smith fronted FydollaHo, a metalband with which she toured across both in the United States of America and Great Britain. Smith and Missi Pyle are half of Smith & Pyle the desert country-rock band. Shawnee Smith's parents are Jim Smith and Patricia Smith. Jim Smith was an former pilot in the US Air Force, a an oncology physician and financial planner. As she turned one year old, the family emigrated from South Carolina and California to Van Nuys. Parents divorced at two years of age. She was then eight. She went to Ranchito Avenue elementary school in Panorama City Los Angeles, as well as Madison Jr. High School in North Hollywood. North Hollywood High School is located within North Hollywood California. In 1987, she was a graduate. Rachel was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award in 2019 for Outstanding Original Music & Lyrics together with songwriting partner Jack Dolgen & the late Adam Schlesinger. Rachel is currently on an extensive tour with the live performance Death Let Me Do My Special to be performed in the spring/summer of 2023. Rachel was able to sell out Radio City Music Hall by playing Crazy Ex-Girlfriend : Live in the course of a tour with multiple shows. In that same year she was also featured on her solo tour called What Am I Planning to Do with My Life Today. The tour included a 7-day stay in the venue Just For Laughs.
