Kim Delaney, an American actress best known as detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she won an Emmy Award. Her roles include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was the child of an executive at the United Auto Workers who was also an auntie. Delaney has four older brothers. As a child she longed to be a reporter for the court. But after she graduated from high school and relocating into New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked.
